This DIY requires things which are easily accessible. All you need is:
- Cardstock (hard form of paper) or chartpaper or else a simple paper. However remember to double the simple paper in order to give it a sound base.
- Stationery (Pencil, eraser, scissors, etc.)
- Tape: Removable tape is preferred. However, normal or double tape will also work.
NOTE: The quantity of paper is proportionate to the number of the number of butterflies you want to make and its size.
STEPS:
- Arrange for a butterfly skin. You can either print it out or else make one on a simple sheet.Make sure that the skin is of the required size.
- Fold the sheet as well as the paper or cardstock symmetrically. Placing the skin on the paper, trace its outline. Do it for as many butterflies as you want.
- Cut the paper according to the outline.
- Place the butterflies on the wall.
- Apply tape on the middle part of the butterflies only and stick the butterflies on the wall.
- Lift the outer edges of the butterflies to give it a 3 D look.
And now YOUR BUTTERFLIES ARE READY TO FLY!
Enhancing options: You can take butterflies of different colors and sizes, shade them, etc.
